Soil conditioners work in years, not in a week

Soil conditioners work in years, not in a week

A soil conditioner will not replace a nitrogen dressing before the next irrigation. What it can do is improve how that irrigation behaves: infiltration, crusting, and the feel of the seedbed.

Apply ahead of sowing, incorporate, and repeat across seasons. Pair with a tissue or soil test so you are not guessing at potassium or zinc while chasing structure.

Dealers can help read a simple soil report. Bring last season’s yield map if you have one — tired patches often share a compaction or organic-matter story.
