Scout first: cotton pest thresholds that save a spray

Calendar spraying is expensive and trains pests. Fazal Group field staff start with a walk: terminals for jassid, undersides of leaves for whitefly, and fruiting bodies for bollworm eggs.
Treat when the economic threshold is crossed, not when a neighbour sprays. Rotate modes of action. CQI products such as Cotton Shield and Boll Guard are tools inside that sequence, not a weekly habit.
Keep water volume high enough to reach the canopy that is actually feeding. Evening applications in peak heat reduce scorch and improve coverage.
